We received a fabulous post card from Helensburgh, New South Wales, Australia. They have a classroom blog called A Peek Inside...
The photograph on the card is of a koala sleeping in the fork of eucalyptus tree. Mrs. Dowling and her class were very thoughtful to send us a wonderful postcard.
The koala looks really fluffy based on the photograph! In the background, there are beautiful eucalyptus trees and a baby koala. We looked up koala in the online encyclopedia and learn that they spend most of their time in trees, and only come down from one tree in order to climb up another!
Has anyone visited Helensburgh?
Koalas are interesting. Has someone seen them in the wild?
Do you have a favorite Australian animal?
