Over the weekend, it happened!
Look closely at the six ClustrMaps below. What do you notice about our visitors?
North America |
South America |
Africa |
Europe |
Asia |
Australasia |
Please share some of your observations about our visitors!
Do we have more coastal visitors or are they more inland? Are any of our visitors from urban centers?
What do you ♥ about this global learning community?
Dear Mrs. Yollis' Class,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Fifty thousand visitors is amazing! I noticed on your cluster map that you have many fans in Great Britain. How long did it take to reach 30,000?
Mrs. Kistler
Dear Mrs Yollis and students.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation 50,000 visitors what an outstanding achievement!
Each and everyone of you all should all be so very proud. I know I am all the way from down under.
I love checking out your awesome Clustermap. From my observation your blog has visitors from every continent. However the only place I did notice that your blog has as yet not been to and that is the Antarctica. Who knows that could happen sooner than later.
I really love the fact that your blog has visitors from the coast right to the heat of the Africa desert.
What I really love about this global learning communtiy is that we don't appear so far away from each other and we are all learning and sharing together as one. It really is a community within a community.
From your blogging buddy,
AA.
Dear Mrs Yollis and studentst,
ReplyDeleteWell done on getting 50,000 visitors.
This is a awesome achievement!
Can you believe it.
I hope you get another 50,000 more visitors.
I loved checking out your ClusterMap the red dots look fantastic.
From your blogging buddy,
Bianca.
Dear Mrs Yollis and Grade 3
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to achieve 50,000 visitors!
I found it interesting to note the cluster distribution on the map of the USA. There are lots of cluster dots on the west coast and on the eastern to mid USA, but fewer to the right of the Rockies, and I would guess that there is a lower population density in those states?
The Australian and New Zealand maps also show quite defined population centres.
Onwards to the next milestone!
from Mrs M♔Kenzie
Dear friends,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! It's really cool!!
Keep it up!
Lyudmila and class
Dear Mrs. Yollis and her students,
ReplyDeleteHi! I am Margot in Mr. Salsich's class. I think that it is amazing that you were able to get 50,000 visitors! I only have about 200 visitors on my blog and I only have about 130 comments on my blog. I think that you get a lot of visits all over the world, but I think that most of your visitors are from North America and Europe. Almost everywhere in the United States I could see little red dots, especially in the coastal eastern part of The United States. I like looking at Clustr Maps because you can see new dots pop up all the time.
I think that you will get 75,000 visitors in a year or less! You put up a new post up on your blog every day and you get usually 25 comments on every post. You also have a lot of comments on your pages too. I think that you deserved getting the Lifetime Acheivement Award for the Edublogs Awards, and I also think you deserved getting First Runner Up in the Best Class Blog Award.
I also have a few questions: When did you start your blog? How many comments do you have on your blog? What is your favorite thing about blogging?
I hope you will answer my questions!
From,
Margot* :-)
in Mr. Salsich's class
P.S. I like all the awesome student blogs especially Hannah's Blog and Adia's Blog!
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteOutstanding! I can not believe we got 50,000 visitors! It is an accomplishment to get that many people that visited our blog!
I noticed that in Morocco we got a visitor from the capital Rabat. The visit is not very big compared to us. We comment a lot!
I think that it is great that we can learn about other countries and states from the blog!
Do you know any thing about Morocco?
In particular do you know about Rabat?
Warmly,
Gr♥ce
@ Lyudmila and class,
ReplyDeleteThis is Adia and Hannah from Mrs. Yollis' class. Thank you for leaving a comment on our class blog!
Thank you for congratulating us!
We just checked out your blog, and we love it!
We have a question:
Have you reached 50,000 visitors yet, and what is your goal?
Thanks!
Warmly,
Hannah ★ and Adia ★
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI noticed that if you squint your eyes tight the east side of the USA looks all red.
Hawaii has a good amount of visitors right.? I spied that Honolulu has some comments.
From,
Tucker
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteWe got an exciting visit from Accra, Ghana. Accra is the capitol of Ghana. Ghana was my country when we did the human clustrmap.
It's very exciting that we got to 50,000 visitors. Do you think we will get to 100,000 visits in this school year? Is there a good chance that we will get 50,000 COMMENTS this year?
Sincerely,
Jaden
Dear Mrs.Yollis,
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing that we hit that many! (In visitors.) One observation is about Africa. Last time we had one visitor in an island which was Maurituis. Now we have another visitor on an island close to Mauritius, but it is Reunion.
I think if we make more posts we can probably get the double of visitors.
Your student,:)
Nic*las
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteWow! What a high goal we achieved. I noticed that all the comments from China are near the coastline, and of course, one of them is Shanghai, since it is famous for its population. I want to get a comment from Antarctica because that is a barren place, but it will be difficult.
Where do you want to get a comment from?
From,
Ryan
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI think that it is great that we have all this software that we did not have back in time!
I also think that the gadget, ClustrMap, is a great resource of learning! Well that is if you have an atlas...
When I was looking at the map, I saw that my country was there, which is Iran. It is famous for: mats, carpets, and oil.
The only downside of seeing it is that it does not have a red dot on the capital, Tehran. It almost made me sob!
Do you know any facts about Iran or Tehran?
Sincerely,
Iman
P.S. I forgot to congratulate you on your achievement of 50,000 visitors!
Dear My outstanding teacher,
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that we have 50,000 comments! thanks to 2KM and 2KJ we have an enormous dot on Geelong. What a dot! That's phenominal!
I have a question.
* Do you know how many visitors 2KM and 2KJ have?
Warmly,
*Ileanna*
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing that we reached our goal of 50,000 comments! 50,000 is a brilliant achievement!
I noticed that we got a visitor from Sri Lanka, and I also found out that we got a few viewers from Recife, a major city. Wow, that is outstanding!
Over the summer, I will be going to Maui, and I will be sure to visit the class blog every day so that we can get a visitor from there.
I can't wait for us to get 60,000 comments! Now that would be a major accomplishment!
Warmly,
Adia
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI am so dumbfounded that we got 50,000 comments! I think we will be at 60,000 in no time... like around April, 12 2011.
I found out that we have a new visit from Jerusalem, Israel. It is not as big as the one from Isfahan, Iran.
Hope to get 60,000. soon>
Shalom,
Amitai
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI am so exited we got 50,000 visitors!
One of the countries we got a comment from was South Africa. The capital of South Africa is Cape town.
I am so surprised that we get 200 comments everyday!
I hope we get up to 60,000 visitors!
From,
Nicole
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the capital of Mongolia (Ulan Bator)has a tiny red dot,so there must not be a lot of visitors. Also that is the only place that has visitors in Mongolia.
From,
Aaron
Dear Mrs.Yollis,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like we have a person from Rabat the capital of Morocco. 50,000 comments is amazing. Tell me if you know anything about Morocco?
I think if we do 200 comments a day, we could get 60,000 comments.
From,
Andrew
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI like how we got 50,000 comments. When we got 40,000 comments I knew that we were going to get 50,000 comments. My favorite visitor was from Ukraine. The reason that I like the Ukraine one is because my mother was born there.
From,
Misha
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteMy observation is about North America and the state New York. The state of New York is completely covered with red dots!
I also found Mrs. Kistler's class in San Antonio, Texas.
Do you know any facts about San Antonio?
From,
Finn
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI think it is very exciting that we got 50,000 visitors! I think it is a amazing achievement.
I noticed that the United Kingdom was almost covered by all the red dots! Another thing I noticed is that Iran's capital, Tehran has not visited our blog, but other cities have.
I can't wait to see when I get 50,00 visitors on my blog! That would be phenomenal.
Your student,
Hannah
Dear Mrs Yollis' class,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! 50,000 visitors is a huge effort!
I remember when you reached 20,000 visitors and I really thought that was amazing!
I'm pleased to see that you had a lot of visitors on your Clustrmap from around the Leopold area.
Here's to many more visitors and amazing blog posts!
Your blogging buddy,

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing accomplishment! You should be so proud. It should definitely show you what an amazing blog you have. I always enjoy visiting and seeing all of the wonderful posts that you have!

Mr. Avery
Dear Mrs. Yollis and Class,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching 50,000 visitors! That is an outstanding achievement!
I especially like how you showed the different ClustrMaps so we can see where your visitors come from.
How did you make those mini pictures? I am curious!
From,
Mrs. Hembree
@ Everyone!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your warm congratulations! We appreciate each and every one of you!
@ Mrs. Kistler,
Yes, we are so surprised to have so many U.K. visitors! You asked how long it took to reach 30,000. I'm not sure, that was a number we never marked.
@ AA and Bianca,
Thanks so much for being one of our favorite visitors! We love hearing from both you and Bianca!
@ Mrs. M♔Kenzie,
I noticed what you saw on the U.S. map as well. The midwest section of our country is more rural.
@ Lyudmila,
Thanks you so much for your continued support! We will continue on!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Y♥llis
@ Mrs. M☀rris,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for all your support and comments over the years! We look fondly on the prominent Geelong dot in Australia! :-)
@ Chloe,

@ Mr. Avery,
We appreciate all of the support you give us with your quality comments! We are happy we met you!
@ Mrs. Hembree,
Thank you for your kind congratulations! We are thrilled!
You asked about those little maps. We won an upgraded version of ClustrMap when we made our Human ClustrMap. The maps are one of those features. If you click on one in our ClustrMap, you'll see them. I just took screen shots of each.
Thanks everyone!
Mrs. Y♥llis
Dear Mrs Yollis and class,

We so enjoy your friendship!
@ ♥Ava and Jordi♥ (from 2KM/2KJ)
Wow! What a fantastic comment you two have created...complete with an html ♥!
You asked how long I have been teaching. I have been a teacher for 24 years! That is 2 score and 4 years! What do you think of that?
Which ClustMap interests you the most and why?
Your pal,
Mrs. Y♥llis
@ Ileanna,
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say thank you for your kind words about 2KM and 2KJ. You are all very good friends to us!
We have nearly 2500 visitors on our blog but we have only had our blog for about 7 weeks.
Like Mr Avery, we are aiming for 5,000. Maybe not 50,000 just yet! That is a very big number!
Best wishes,
Mrs M☀rris
@ Mrs Y♥llis,
ReplyDeleteWe think it is great that you have
been teaching for 24 years.
We like the North America Clustermap because it has the most
red dots. I think your Clustermap
looks great now with all those
FANTASTIC dots around the world.
We think that you should get up
400,000 dots or 900,000 dots!
Your a very popular now!
I can't wait till we Skype again don't you think Mrs Y♥llis and class.
Next Wednesday 23rd March we are inviting 1 family member to come to our school to learn about blogging. I wonder if you do anything like that at your sch♥♥l?
Im inviting my cousin. His name is
Brenton.
Best wishes,
J♥rdi and Ava♥
@ J♥rdi and Ava♥,
ReplyDeleteWow you are super-bloggers! I ♥ how we have a conversation going here! You two are also very good at proofreading for capitalization and punctuation! Well done!
Yes, our North America map has the most dots of all the continents because...that is where we live! Mrs. McKenzie noticed that there were a lot of visitors on the west coast of the United States and on the east coast. The eastern part of the U.S. is full about to the Mississippi River. Then it is kind of open.
We love our big Geelong/Leopold dot! It should not be a dot, it should be a ♥!
Your idea about bringing friends and family to sch♥♥l is a great one! I sure wish I could be there with you! :-)
Happy Blogging!
Mrs. Y♥llis
Hi everyone! My class has a blog to. It is Mrs.Zwettlers class. I really like your blog and congrats on the 50,000 visitors.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that you do not have any visitors from Ethiopia. :)
ReplyDeleteDear Mrs Yollis
ReplyDeleteDid you hear about the Japan earthquake and tsunami? It was pretty sad because nearly all of the people died.
from Tyla and Sam
