Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for helping Ben to grow as a student and a person this year.
I know he'll take what he's learned and find success in the future as a result of your efforts.
All the best,
Eric

Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteYou are so amazing with your blog. I hope that all my teachers are as fantastic as you are.
Your former student,
Anais
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteYou are by far, the best teacher any student can ask for, believe me, I have wished many times throughout the year, to be a student of yours.
You are a kind, knowledgeable and caring educator. You have given the kids more than just the academic requirements. I am sorry I don't have another little one, to look forward to having him or her in your class. :(
Have a great summer!
You deserve a crown... ♔
Love,
Soosan
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteYou are the best teacher I ever had in my life. I really loved you as a teacher because you taught me a lot of subjects, you taught me how to blog, you signed me up for the Digital Voice Awards, and you also taught the class and me how to type. I bet the whole class from this year will miss you as a teacher a lot.
Your former student,
Nick
P.S. I had a fantastic year with you as my teacher!

I, too, have loved every minute! It has been a wonderful year and I'm happy to hear it was so fruitful for Kendall.
She won the Family Blogging Month #2 and she is welcome to post at anytime this summer...or even next year! The last few days were a little hectic! Let me know what she would like to do. A big thank you to your parents as well! They were a terrific part of this community!
@ Anais,
Thank you so much for your compliment! I hope you will come back and leave comments even though you are a big fourth grader. We like to hear from you!
@ Soosan, (Ava's mom)
Oh! Thank you so much for your kind words! One of the things I like about blogging is that it brings everyone into the classroom learning environment and we ALL learn together.
You are so great with the icons! I have got to master that! There is a goal for my summer! ♥
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Hey, I did it! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Can you tell I love to learn new things?! ♥
@ Nick,
Thank you, Nick! I glad you learned so much! Yes, learning to type is a big thing in today's world and I'm glad you mastered it!
I look forward to following your blog in the months and years to come! :-)
@ AA,
I can't believe the year is over either! You have been such a great supporter and participant in our blog and I sure hope you and Bianca continue to do so! A big hug from all of us!

Nick
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for being a great teacher! You are my favorite teacher out of all of the ones I have had so far. You're my fvorite teacher because you are so nice, and I like how you teach. I miss you so much, and I bet everybody else in the class does too. MISS YOU!

Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteIt feels like just a few days ago we were unpacking our supplies, but it's NOT the first few days of school. It's summer!
My favorite thing we did in the beginning of the school-year was learning how to blog. Now that I learned how to blog very well, my writing got better. What was your favorite thing we did in the beginning of the year?
Thanks for everything you taught me!
Your former student,
Kayla :) :D :-) :() ;) ;~) :} ;]
P.S. Thanks for my blog! I'm not sure I'll keep posting, but I'm sure I'll keep on going with the commenting.
@ Kendall,
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! Thank YOU for being such a great student and always giving your best effort! :-)
I miss everyone too! However, it is nice that we still have our blog where we can pop in and see how everyone is doing! I was so happy to see a comment from you!
Do you have any summer plans?
@ Kayla,
How nice to get a wonderful comment from you this morning! I know what you mean...the year went so fast!
My favorite part of the year is the same as yours. I loved when everyone started learning how to comment and they just got better and better!
I hope you do continue with your blog. Your blog is excellent and it helps you develop and improve your writing and digital image skills. :-) Did you see I published Gal's Creating Digital Images tutorial?
I do hope you will always comment. I like hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Yollis
P.S. Both of you are still welcome to submit a post! Let me know!
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI am so sad that the year is over, but I am exited for fourth grade. Thank you for teaching me a lot of things some teachers would never teach me. You are my favorite teacher ever.
Sincerely,
Jaxon <3 (:
@ Jaxon,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is sad when good things come to an end. However, I feel you are very ready to start fourth grade and we will all get together next year for a lunch!
Have a wonderful summer, Jaxon!
Your friend,
Mrs. Y♥llis
Your pictures are great. I am glad you had a good class! It is very nice of you to post a video, which makes it much more meaningful :)

Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI like the way to say good-bye to your third graders. With all the nice and encouraging words you use and then all the comments you received, I bet you are really a caring and lovable teacher. Many educators, including me should see it and take tips on how to farewell your students and assure them their succesful in the coming school year.
@ Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting back to me!
Yes, I have read Gal's post about "Family Blogging Month Winner ~ Gal's Camera Tips!"
I'm still thinking about what I'm going to write about on your blog.
Your former student,
Kayla
P.S. Did you notice that we didn't do the typing contest? Maybe we can do it during lunch with you next year as well as getting the list of Reading Counts.
@ Kayla,
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a fun summer! Guess who we still have? Birdy! We are letting him go today, so watch for a new post about him.
Yes, I did notice we did not have our typing contest! Your suggestion of doing that when we have a lunch next year is a good one! Let's do that!
What are your plans for summer?
Your friend,
Mrs. Y♥llis
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteI remember when you made a post like that last year! It brought back good memories of third grade. You won't believe this, but my mom, Aaron, and I found a baby hummingbird when we were taking Charlie for a walk yesterday and took it home to take care of it. We named her (well, we think it's a girl) Summer. See you next year.
From,
Jonah
Dear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteAll through fourth grade, I have been learrning more and more about technology. All thanks to you for getting me into it. I wish you would move up to fifth grade to teach like you did with my brothers and sister. Have a terrific summer!
From,
Emily
your former student :-)
@ Jonah,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the post brought back good memories. I have a lot of good memories from your class as well!
Wow! You discovered a hummingbird too? They say that many hummers do not survive. :-( We found out that ours was an Allen's hummingbird. We just let it go. Luckily he survived. Check in the sidebar for the full story!
How did it go with yours?
@ Emily,
Thanks for such a great comment! I'm glad that you are learning more about technology. I always am too!
Say hi to your family for me! What plans do you have for the summer?
Your friend,
Mrs. Yollis
What a loving and wonderful idea to send your students with a big bear hug. Sentimental, but memorable. I can tell you enjoyed your students and vice versa they enjoyed having you as their teacher.
ReplyDeleteDear Mrs. Yollis,
ReplyDeleteThanks you Mrs. Yollis for what you have done for the class and Paul. I'm sure that I'm thanking you on behalf of the all the parents in the class. You have done so much for the kids. They learned a lot from you. I can see that Paul is growing and learning. The important thing we have noticed is that he has shown a lot of interest in various subjects because of your blogs. You have really done a wonderful job. We wish that you could be Paul's 4th grade teacher.
Thanks,
Matthew (Paul's dad)
@ Sara E.,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words. We had a wonderful year together and I will miss all of them!
@ Matthew, (Paul's dad)
Thank you so much for your comment! It means a lot to me. I'm glad to hear your say that Paul learned about a variety of subjects through the blog. That's the power of educational blogging!
I will miss Paul, but I know he will do well as a fourth grader!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Y♥llis
