Back to School Night!

Normally, Mrs. Yollis' class looks like this.

Or this...

Last night, Mrs. Yollis' class looked like this!

and this....

At Back to School night, Mrs. Yollis talked to the parents about what the students would learn in third grade and how parents can help.

Each parent sat at their child's desk.

Mrs. Yollis enjoyed meeting her new students.
:-)

How did your parents like being in your class?

Did they mention your clean desk?

  1. Dear Mrs. Yollis and Students,

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Mrs. Yollis and hearing about all the fantastic learning that will be going on this year. Maybe I could quit my job and go back to 3rd grade for the year? Hmmmmm....

I wish all of you a wonderful school year. Study hard and always do your best!

    Sincerely,

  4. Dear Mrs.Yollis,

My mom told me that my desk was so neat. My dad told me that he didn't even fit in the chair! My mom and dad said they would love to write a comment. And so do I.

  5. Dear Mrs.Yollis,

My mom and dad were very proud of me and my desk. They also were surprised about my neatness in writing. When you were in third grade did you have back to school night?

  6. @Nick,

Like your parents, I am proud of you too! Not only is your writing neat, but you have an excellent vocabulary. Even your Chinese writing looked good!
    :-)

Yes, they had Back to School Night when I was in school. I remember when I first heard about it, I thought my parents were literally going to go back to school and work. I thought my teacher would make them do worksheets and multiplication flash cards! Funny, huh?

    Thanks for your comment,
    Mrs. Yollis

  7. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I asked my mom how clean my desk was and she said it was very impressive! She also liked being in our class. And my mom said she barely fit in my chair. How was back to school night for you?

Thank you for taking the time to comment!

You asked how Back to School night was for me. I enjoy the night because it gives me a chance to meet all of the parents and tell them about the wonderful plans I have for the year. It is funny to see all of the adults sitting in the small chairs. :-)

    Sincerely,
    Mrs. Yollis
