Did you know that Australia is south of the Equator, and American is north of the Equator? That means when it is Winter here, it is Summer where you are. Also, even though we both speak English, we have different accents.
I have never been to Australia. Have you ever been to America?

We are in the last month of spring here so soon it will be my favourite season -- summer! It's definitely strange having opposite seasons.
I was lucky enough to visit America before I had children! I went in 2007 and 2012. I stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Yollis and even visited your classroom. I will never forget that special time!

ReplyDeleteI did research about Australia and North America and I found some similarities between the two countries. The first one is they both speak English. The second one is both use $ dollar as their currency. One difference is Australia and North America have opposite seasons, meaning if it is Winter in North America, it's summer in Australia.

DeleteYou're right that we both use dollars. The funny thing is they're worth different amounts of money. If I brought $1 over from Australia it would only get me about 70c in US dollars!
You're right about the seasons too. In a few weeks it will be summer here. We have just planted some tomatoes and zucchinis in our vegie patch ready for summer. Do you grow anything at home?

I am having a lovely day. I went out for lunch with my mum, sister, and children. Fun fact: my 6 year old daughter has just realised that you spell the word for mother, mom. We spell it mum!
