  1. Dear Mrs.Yollis,

I am just about to visit somebody's blog. I want to visit many today. I do not know which one to start with. Have you visited any?

  2. Dear Mrs.Yollis,

I started with going on coleman's blog. You should see it. He has a poll on the sidebar. That is what I like about it.

P.S I remembered to say I am your student

  3. @ Jaden,

No, I haven't visited any. Miss W. is the one who recommended them.

I would click on one...glance around looking for something that interests you. If you find something...leave a comment. If you don't, come back to the list and explore the others.

I suggest looking for what you like and don't like in a blog.

For example, I like blogs that are easy to navigate. One thing I don't like is distraction. I go to a blog to read and learn. If there is music or sound effects or spinning gadgets...I tend to leave that blog. For me, that kind of distraction is too much. I can't read and enjoy the post.

You try and discover what you like and dislike!

    Have fun!

  4. @ Mrs.Yollis,

Thank you for commenting back to me. I just visited Derek's blog. I will try to comment on every blog. How many are you going to try to comment on? I have 2 down already. I suggest going on coleman's blog.

  5. @ Mrs. Yollis,

I visited Derek's blog. It was really cool. Have you gone on any other blogs? I would recommend going on Coleman's blog before Derek's blog.

  6. @ Jaden,

I had already visited Coleman's blog and left a comment on his "About" page. I mentioned that you liked his and directed me to it. :-)

My goal is to visit and leave a comment on five of the blogs by Sunday night. It is such a gorgeous day, my husband and I are going out for a hike so I won't be online for awhile.

I recommend visiting five yourself by Sunday night. Remember, be specific about what you like. Blogging is about writing and sharing, so look for good examples of that. It is a good idea to end with a relevant question...then you can get a conversation going! That's the best!

Gadgets are a fun part of the sidebar, but the important part of any blog is the post section. Look for examples of quality writing.

Also, if you notice something that you don't like...don't mention the person's name. We wouldn't want to hurt anybody's feelings that way.

However, if you find a blog you like...please mention them by name (don't forget to capitalize) and tell us why you liked them!

    Great blogging, Jaden!

    Mrs. Y♥llis

  11. @ Miriam,

Good for you! I'm glad you are exploring the blogs that Miss W. highlighted. They are all members of the Student Blogging Challenge.

It is interesting to visit other blogs to get ideas. Sometimes you like the way the blog is set up, and you like the writing in the posts, and you think the gadgets add something to the blog.

Sometimes you don't like the blog. Maybe it is too busy and difficult to read. Perhaps the writing needs to be proofread.

It is important to look at many so you can become an expert. (An expert is a fancy word for a person who has a lot of knowledge or skill in a certain area.)

I'm glad you left a comment on Mr. Baldock's blog in Australia. If you visit any more, be sure to tell us what you liked!

    @ Jaden,

Good for you! I like how you set a goal and are meeting it! I am too!

Yes, we got a nice comment from your grandmother! I love that she likes to visit, and especially that she will comment! :-)

Good luck with the football today!

    Sincerely,
    Mrs. Y♥llis

  17. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I just commented on Teagan and Mr. Carson's blogs.

Teagan's site is very interesting, there is a lot going on! He has games, music, flashing cursers and lights!

Mr. Carson's site is very nice and simple, it was easy to navigate. I saw that you commented on his blog. Don't you find it amazing that each student has their own laptop? I was green with envy!

I hope that they visit our blog.

    Sincerely,
