National! Punctuation?? Day,

Today is National Punctuation Day Yes If it wasnt for punctuation we would not be able to understand what is being said at least not easily do you agree with me

Mrs Yollis read us a wonderfully funny book called Punctuation Takes a Vacation We thought it was a clever story idea that punctuation could go on a trip and not be available anymore What a problem that would be for everyone Everyone appreciates how punctuation helps with understanding

Leave a comment down below but do not use any punctuation Lets see if we can figure out what you are trying to say

Which punctuation mark is your favorite and why Is it a mark that is easy to use

    Dear Mrs Yollis class

It is very funny that there is no punctuational at all in your paragraphs above

My favorite punctuation mark is a question mark I like that it has a dot under it and it looks like a backwards L This book was very funny idea I like how there is no punctuation because you never stopped reading because there was no punctuation

  3. Dear Mrs Yollis and class

I bet that the comma is paused somewhere nice

I think the question mark might be lost and doesnt know what to do

I assume the colon has lost track of time

Who can add more clever assumptions

  18. Dear Mrs Yollis and class, try this one.

punctuation isnt really important when were talking because we pause when speaking or change the way we speak to show happiness or anger and to let hearers know if its a question or statement punctuation is important when we write or read because readers know when to pause whats a question or statement and whos speaking punctuation is a way of showing on paper or screen what we could say and how we would say it its a way of sharing when we cant talk to people

My favorite punctuation mark is the ellipsis because it can show an omission or unnecessary words or …

    4. HI Isla, I have held a koala and seen them in the wild. They are beautiful animals who sleep most of the day. The eucalypt tree leaves they eat take a long time for them to digest while they sleep. I took a video of a koala named Suzie some time back. For about the first time her joey (baby) stuck her head out of the pouch. Sapphire, the baby, has now had babies of her own.

    5. Hello, Isabella. It seems the language we speak is a living, dynamic one (it changes over time). There are words that didn't exist when I was your age. Other words have changed their meaning but punctuation has remained an important part of the way we communicate in written words.

When I was about your age, I met a woman who was over 100 years old. If she was still with us, she would have been the oldest person living at 164. I wonder how much has changed since she was a girl?
