We are excited to start Edublog's Student Blogging Challenge on Monday!
It runs for eight weeks, is free, and is a wonderful way to begin blogging with your students.
Here are the weekly challenges!
In the hopes that other teachers will consider blogging with their students, I recently talked about the benefits of blogging on a TLC Ninja podcast with my good friends @CoffeeNancy and @NowaTechie.
Click on the red circle and give a listen!
We are joining the Student Blogging Challenge as a class, and we will join as individual student bloggers in the spring.

Share some good digital citizenship tips you've learned!
Dear Mrs. Yollis' class,
ReplyDeleteWe ♥ blogging!
Kasra: I like that we can share about ourselves. For example, I shared information about when I was in Mexico.
Cade: I love blogging too! My favorite post so far was the one about palindromes. A palindrome is a word or number that reads the same forward and backward. For example, racecar.
Ben: What I like about blogging is that you get to share your ideas with the whole class or the world. For example, we have shared about our summer vacations and favorite palindromes.
Eden: I ♥ making HTML shapes!
Here are some good digital citizenship tips. Never give away your YAPPY. Your YAPPY is Your full name, your address, your password, your phone number, or your plans.
Also, never give your name with your face. The world does NOT need that much personal information.
Another blogging tip is to never click on ads. You can bring a virus to your computer! Booooo!
Finally, never leave a strong magnet next to your computer. It will erase your hard drive.
