  1. Dear Mrs.Yolis and class,

Open house in Mrs. Yollis' class was awesome! Aryana showed us so many projects the class has completed throughout the year. From Chinese writing, to diarama of Abraham Lincoln, informational text and so many art projects, it has been an amazing year for learning and creativity. Thanks for an awesome year!

  2. Dear Mrs. Yollis and class,

Wow! I am so impressed with all of your work! You have all been working very hard. My favorite project in the room is the biography timeline. It was great to see everyone's creativity! Also, I can't believe how much you do with technology. I may have to take lessons from you so I can learn. Thanks to Sean for helping me find Derrick's clipboard for the Scavenger Hunt since Derrick was at baseball. Enjoy the last few days of the school year!

    Sincerely
    Beth (Derrick's Mom)

    Dear Mrs. Yollis,

My moms favorite thing she saw was the dioramas because it shows a lot of creativity.

One of my brothers Jake's favorite part was the fractional fish because he liked the hard work everyone put into their project.

My other brothers favorite thing was the dioramas because he liked how they did the writing very good. His name is Dylan. They are both in kindergarten.

My dads favorite part was the polygon people because he thought it was unique that we learned are and perimeter.

My favorite part was the fractional names because they taught how to learn fractions.

    Sincerely,
    Sean and his family.

    1. Dear Dad,

I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed Open House. My favorite project was the biography reports because they told what their person achieved and didn't achieve. I also liked all of the dioramas because they painted a picture in my mind of what the person who built it was trying to say. I'm so pleased that you liked Open House because Royce loved the comment writing section.

What else did you like at Open House?

      Sincerely,
      Tabitha

    1. Dear Sean and Family,

Your text is from Kate's parents and your name says Sean and his family. That is funny because you can't tell who's comment it is. I hope to solve the mystery soon!

    Dear Mrs. Yollis,

Thank you for a great Open House! There are so many amazing projects, we could have spent another hour looking at them all. Our favorite things were the Perfect Polygon Person and Sam's Cheetah report. It looks like a lot of work was put into both of these, and we know Sam had a lot of fun doing them too. We can't believe the year is almost over!

    Sincerely,
    Sam's Family

  11. Dear Mrs. Yollis and her class,

I absolutely adored your open house this year! I especially enjoyed all the new additions to the class since I was a student in it such as the garden chair, Panda (when I was here there was only Beverly), and all the new artwork posted up around the class. One thing (or many things) that stuck out particularly about the classroom were all the amazing biographies scattered about in their categories. I could tell there was a huge amount of effort that was put into the making of each and every one of them. Overall great classroom, Mrs. Yollis' class!

Since I was a student inside the wonderful classroom, a lot of things have changed. But I will always remember how utterly amazing Mrs. Yollis' classroom was. I will never forget all the amazing memories I shared with my classmates.

    Have an amazing year!

    Sincerely,
    R♠yce

    Dear Mrs. Yollis,
What a great display of learning and fun projects! I loved the creative dioramas that the kids made. I know Ruby really enjoyed putting hers together. The e-portfolios were a great way to showcase their work and I loved the idea of using the Q reader to access them electronically. Great job!!

  15. Dear Mrs. Yollis and Class,

Congratulations on a wonderful Open House! Your projects are stunning. As I scrolled through the photos, I felt like I was right there in your classroom.

The biography project is always a favorite of mine, and I love the way they are displayed by category this year. The ePortfolios are particularly impressive. Mrs. Yollis shared some of them with me last week, and I look forward to reading more. Another project I am partial to is the Polygon People. This is probably because I was there during some of the process and was able to see how complex the project was. You had to work together and use many skills!

I look forward to my next visit with you, and I'm hoping your Diamante Poems are still available then. I'd love to read them!

    Kudos to all of you!
    Regards,
    Mrs. Ranney

  16. Dear class,

My favorite part of open house was the speeches for the biography project. I liked writing my Helen Keller speech and creating my diorama.

I made Helen Keller on one side of my diorama and Anne Sullivan, Helen's teacher that helped her get through life, on the other side. For my speech, I typed so when you read it, it sounded like I was Helen Keller, and I was telling about my life.

    Your friend,
    Asha

  18. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I loved open house! It was hard work to get all those projects to open house, and we worked hard to compete them. One reason open house was fun is because you could see everyone's siblings, and you got to look at everyone's work and what they did. things we worked on were our polygon person, nonfiction nook, binders, and our ePortfolios.

    Sincerely,
    Nic
