Today, Ms. Neumeyer has a special post for us! She wanted to be a part of our sensational Seussical series, so she recorded herself and is here to present her favorite Dr. Seuss book, The Sneetches!
What did you think of Ms. Neumeyer's video?
How did Sylvester McMonkey McBean profit?
What do you think Dr. Seuss was trying to teach everyone?
Dear Ms. Neumeyer,
ReplyDeleteThank you for spending your time making a video of you reading The Sneetches to us!
Clare's favorite book is The Best Nest. It brings back childhood memories of when her mother used to read it to her crib. Her favorite character is Mr. Bird.
Chloe's favorite book is The Cat in the Hat. She likes it because it's super silly and has funny characters. Her favorite character is the orange fish.
Why is The Sneetches your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
Sincerely,
Chloe and Clare
Hi Chloe and Clare,
DeleteThanks for sharng your favourite Dr. Seuss books,I like those ones as well!
I think The Sneetches is my favourite book because I used to read it with my parents when I was very young. It is also has a good moral about being accepting of others since we are equal.
Good question!
All the best,
Ms. Neumeyer
Dear Ms. Neumeyer,
ReplyDeleteI have never read that book, and I think the Sneetches were foolish. I'd heard of the book, but I'd never read it. Sylvester McMonkey McBean is very clever, and I think that the message is don't use your money for stuff to make you cooler than others. Use your money wisely. For example, save your money for things you need like food, college, a house, and a car.
What was your favorite part of the book?
Sincerely,
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
DeleteI like your description of Sylvester McMonkey McBean, he is very clever!
My favourite part of the book has to be the end- when the Sneetches are finally able to understand that all Sneetches are the same, whether or not they had stars.
Thanks for sharing and all the best,
Ms. Neumeyer
Dear Ms. Neumeyer,
DeleteI liked that endingtoo. They are all the same even if they don't have a star. The Sneetches should have figured that out before they spent their money.
The part that surprised me was when Sylvester McMonkey McBean said he had a machine to make stars on them.
What part of the book surprised you when you first read that book?
Sincerely,
D@ni♣l

Hi Peter and Ali,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you all enjoyed the video!
I also really enjoy the book How the Grinch Stole Christmas . I didn't know about the Seussville website- it looks like it has a lot of information and fun things on it.
I think my favourite character out of all the Dr. Seuss books has got to be the Lorax from the book The Lorax . Have you read that book or watched the movie?
