Thank you, REACHRocketeers!

Blogging is a great way to learn and make new friends. This year, Mrs. Yollis' students had some wonderful exchanges with a  magnificent group of bloggers from Mississippi called

1.  We first met them when we wrote State Word Problems together!

Here are their Mississippi Math Problems.

2.  Next, they taught us a weather song when we were learning Spanish. It was muey bien!

Today, we received a thoughtful parcel from our friends.

The parcel had beautiful, handmade cards and some cool school souvenirs!

Everyone was surprised to receive a REACH Rocketeer pencil!

We value our blogging buddies and appreciate their generosity!

What did you notice about the purple pencil?  :-)

What are some facts you can share about Mississippi?

How does blogging benefit classrooms?

  1. Hello Mrs. Yollis & class!

We are thrilled that you have received our package! We were so excited to send it to you and thought you might like our pencils.

We have enjoyed our time blogging this year to share all the fun things we do in our REACH class. More importantly, blogging has opened our classroom to the world to meet some very neat friends like yourselves! We wish you a great summer and hope to stay in touch for the next school year.

    Your amigos in Mississippi,

Mrs. Deyamport & The REACH Rocketeers

    1. @ Mrs. Deyamport & REACH Rocketeers,

You are very thoughtful! Everyone loved the surprise parcel, especially those cool pencils. It took a few moments before they realized the special quality!

We so enjoyed our time with you too. In fact, someone was just singing the weather song you prepared for us!

Have a great summer and we'll be in touch next year!

      Your amigos in California,
      Mrs. Y♥llis & class

  2. Hi Mrs Yollis,

    I'm Hasmyn and I see you've got a very interesting blog. I see you know Sarah and Jane, they commented on your post recently, I'm their classmate. Thank you for commenting on our blog! Here's our link to our blog;

PS: It looks like the girl's hand is a pencil!

    1. @ Hasmyn,

Thanks for you kind comment about our blog. We try to make it interesting and a place for all to learn. :-)

Yes, I do know Sarah and Jane. They left a wonderful comment here on our blog.

I see what you mean about the pencil arm! Funny!

      Your friend,
      Mrs. Y♥llis

  3. Dear Mrs Yollis and class,

How wonderful that you received a special package from another one of your blogging pals!

This is what I love about blogging it's the power to learn and grow together and then to receive gifts from your pals to enforce the special bond/friendship you have with them.
    I love it!

I can't believe that your school year is coming to an end. For it really has gone so fast. As for us here down under we are still into our second term and have two more terms to go before our school year ends.
Also our winter season will be starting soon.

Enjoy yourselves of what is left of your school year and enjoy your summer hoildays.

    From your pal,

    1. @ AA,

Thanks for your wonderful comment! It was a real pleasure to see Bianca the other day via Skype! She is so grown up and happy. How nice!

Yes, we are all very fortunate that we've become bloggers! There are so many wonderful aspects, but friendship is right there at the top!

We only have a few more weeks and the school year is over! Wow! Of course, a highlight of my summer will be meeting Mr. and Mrs. Morris and presenting at ISTE. I can't wait!

We have Buck, who is still a puppy, so our summer will be filled helping him become a good dog! He's so cute, but he is also so big! (And getting bigger!) :-)

Thanks again for your constant friendship!

      Your pal,
      Mrs. Y♥llis
