  1. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I just played World Maths Day, and it was really fun!

I played two rounds, and on the first round, I played against three Australian kids. On the second round, I played against three Australian kids too! That was really weird.

On both of those games, I was in first place!

    Your friend,
    Kayla :)

P.S. In my opinion, I think that World Maths Day is super fun.

  2. @ Kayla,

Both rounds you played kids from Australia! Wow! They are busy playing because the afternoon there. I just looked at the 2KM clock and it is 12:30 P.M. on March 3 over there. It will be interesting to see if that changes.

    I love the website too!

  3. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I am really excited for tomorrow! There are exactly 178,505,000 correct answers. That is so many correct answers. On World Math Day I have played lots of countries, and here are some that I played recently. I have played Brazil, United States, Australia, China, New Zealand, and Charlie from our class. Who have you played? How many correct answers do you have? Do you play on it a lot?

    Your student,
    Nick

  5. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I am glad that your students were excited about getting comments from Oklahoma. I am in a Technology for Teachers class for elementary education majors. I am actually working on my masters. For some of our assignments we are to write comments on class blogs somewhere else in the world. We were given a list of classroom blogs to choose from. I went through some and really enjoyed your classroom blog. Once I commented I posted my comment URL on my blog for the rest of my class. It is very likely that the other person is a classmate of mine. Have a wonderful rest of the week.

    Your friend,
    Jennifer from Oklahoma

  6. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

We just tried to do World Math Day, but it didn't work. When we played at home, we played citizens all around the world, and one of them were from Malaysia. Did you compete with anyone from Malaysia?

    Best wishes,
    Sam and Andy

  7. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

We are looking forward to competing against other people around the world. So far we can not get to the site because there were technical difficulties. Do you know about the technical difficulties?

    From,
    Ava and Sydney

  8. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I really like to play World Maths day. But sometimes it does not let me play. Did you play someone from Chile? Was it fun for you?

  9. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

Today is March 3rd and World Maths Day isn't working out for me (not to mention every other continent) but let's hope the server is working. Maybe World Maths Day is too occupied. The world is depending on their server!

    Sincerely,
    Richie

  10. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

Today we tried to get on World Math Day, but too many people were on so we couldn't log in. It was a disappointment so we decided to comment on the blog.

    Sincerely,
    Jaxon and Jollene

  11. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I think your blog is so amazing.

I played China and United Kingdom, and I did extremely well. I only got 1st, 2nd, and third.

I think World Math Day is so interesting because you always get to play.

    Your friend,
    Cameron(from Mrs Ranney's class)

  12. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

The actual day of World Maths Day was really weird in the computer lab because when Mrs. Ranny's class and our class wanted to sign in, it wouldn't let us. At first, I wondered why it was like that. Then, when you said that maybe there are a too many kids on it, I figured the same thing.

Since it didn't let us sign in, we blogged, and the post I commented on was Bianca's lunch on Collaboration Corner.

After Mrs. Scott approved it, I went on World Maths Day, and it let me sign in. I played, and the kid was from Australia.

    Yours truly,
    Kayla :)

  13. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

The day after World Maths Day, I tried to sign in, but it didn't say "Enter the Game". At that time I realized that once World Maths Day has passed, you can't play anymore.

    Love,
    Kayla :)

  14. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

World Maths Day is very fun! I think it is fun because you get to do math with kids all around the world.

A couple days ago, I played against one Canadian, twenty Australians, about ten Americans, one person in Hong Kong, and one person in Taiwan. Also, I got first and second place most of the time.

Does Panda like to play World Maths Day?

    Your student,
    Kendall

  15. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I thought this was a very creative way to help your students. They learn and have fun at the same time. I hope I can find ways similar to this for my students when I become a teacher. I had to read your blog as an assignment in Dr. Strange's EDM 310 Class at the University of South Alabama. You van find my comments on my blog at http://dwightjerkinsedm310.blogspot.com

    Sincerely,
    Dwight Jerkins
