Students had a whale of a time!
Someone etched his name in the clay.
Others created beds or fantastic scenes!
Our story for the week was
The Mysterious Giant of Barletta,
by Tomie de Paola.
That folktale was an inspiration for two artists.
Equally popular was Fun with Magnets!
Who can use the encyclopedia and share something about magnets?
Who can teach us something about Tomie de Paola?

ReplyDeleteThe sculpture I made with some friends is Badger Claws's village. I made the tree and a giant boulder. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish. But it was still great.

ReplyDeleteI love Fun Friday because you have a lot of selections to play with. My favorite station at Fun Friday is clay! I made the whale that you posted a picture of. I adore the clay cause you can make anything. You can even squeeze it and have it look like nothing, and you can still call it art.

ReplyDeleteDuring Fun Friday I was sculpting with the clay with Anais. We created a scene with a tree, a lake with fish and a boat in it.
Something I noticed with Trent's clay is that for his last "t" in his name he did a division sign. That was very clever!
