June 16 ~ School is Out!

Today was the last day of school for Mrs. Yollis' students. Here are some reflections about the year!

Goodbye to my third graders!

A group hug!

I know you'll do well in fourth grade!

What are some of your favorite memories from this year?

  1. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

    I really enjoyed the video!
So far I think your the best teacher in the whole school because you bring things to life. For example you brought our clay fishes to life. I also enjoyed the group hug because every body was squishing me. When my mom came to pick me up from school I didn't want to leave. Some activities we use to do were playing silent speed ball and hand ball.

    See you next year!

    Your former student

  2. Dear Mrs. Yollis,
Congratulations on another successful year! It's always with joy and sadness that we leave a class in June. Joy that they will be students in a new grade, and learning new things and sad because the year is over.
Thank you for all that you accomplished with your blog. I have learned so much from you. I hope we can collaborate again next year!
    Enjoy your summer!
    Mrs. Hembree
PS. Our last day isn't until the 22nd. Boo-hoo!

  3. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I will miss you next year. I loved having the experience that you have given us. Thank you for opening us to a new world of blogging.

  4. Dear Mrs Yollis and students,

Wow I just cannot believe it the last day of school for you guys. :(

I must say this year with you all has been awesome. I have loved learning with you all and been apart of your wonderful blog too.
You were all so lucky to have an outstanding teacher teaching you all. I feel pretty lucky too having Mrs Yollis as my teacher teaching me too. I have enjoyed this journey with you all.

I loved your video and really loved your group hug photo this shows me just what a wonderful time you have all had!

I do have a favourite and it is the suprise bithday wish posts for Mrs Yollis.

Now, I wish you all a wonderful holiday and all the very best for when you all start grade four.
This is one school year you all will never for.

A special thankyou to you Mrs Yollis for taking me right into the classroom with you. You are just amazing and a great pal too!

Until we meet again keep well and happy too.

From your blogging pal down under,

  5. Dear Mrs Yollis and students,

congratulations on a wonderful year its been awesome getting to know you all.

I hope you all have a awesome time while on holidays. All the best for grade four to you all.
I will still be in grade three.

Mrs Yollis and Mr Yollis I hope you both have a wonderful summer holiday.
Thank you for your support and kindness during the year.
Please give my love to your mum too.

    From your pal,

  6. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I am sad that the school year ended, but I'm happy that summer is starting! In the group hug I am the one in the back with the red Blake Griffin #32 jersey.

Some of my favorite memories from the school year are when you anounced that I was getting a blog and when we would always play silent speed ball after a part of the star test! Did you like playing silent speed ball?

I also liked skyping! My two favorite skypes were the mystery skype call with Mr. Avery's class because we knew them, but it took us a while to figure out who they were and the first one with Australia because we got to learn about people from the other side of the world. I didn't really participate in the mystery skype call with Mr. Avery's class because I had a feeling that it was them at the beggining.

    Your Former Student,

  7. Dear Mrs Yollis and class,

Congratulations! You made it! Third grade is over and it is now time to celebrate and relax!

I really enjoyed the video. It was nice to reflect with all of you. Like you, the Ugandan project is something I'll remember forever.
I was particularly interested in your readability statistics. I'm goings to check that out.

I bet it is hard for Mrs Yollis to leave you all behind. I am on the opposite side of the world but I feel like I know you. I hope we keep hearing from Amitai, Jaden, Adia, Grace, Nicole, Finn, Hannah and all your other excellent bloggers!

Have a terrific summer, everyone. We'll still going to be working hard in 2KM and 2KJ so we'd love to hear from you!

    Your blogging buddy,
    Mrs Morris

  8. Dear Mrs Yollis and students
While it's always sad to say goodbye to students at the end of a year it is also a proud moment to see how well they are prepared to be moving on to the next stage of their lives.

I hope you all have a wonderful summer and take the opportunity to 'recharge your batteries'.

We look forward to learning with you again.

    your friend
    Mrs M♔Kenzie

  9. Dear Mrs. Yollis,
I am happy it is summer, but I will miss you and my class. My favorite memories are learning to blog, going on field trips and the mystery skype calls. When I first started blogging I didn't write that much, but as time went by I got better and learned to write a quality comment. Now I have my own blog and I really like it! Do you have favorite memory from this year?

I will never forget you and will come by to visit next year. Thank you for teaching me so much!
    Your former student

    P.S. I will miss you!

  10. Dear Mrs Yollis,

  11. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

Congrats, Another great year!I am going to miss you so much! I love your blog and all your fantastic posts. Next year I may be able to check out your blog again. You may be able to check out my blog too. You can go to Mr. Salsichs student blogs and mine will be right at the top. Or you can use this address:

I hope you have a wonderful summer! I am going to The Bahamas and to Long Beach Island in New Jersey. Our last day of school was the 22nd because of the snow days we had. On our last day of school, we enjoyed a wonderful ice cream treat and pizza. I will miss Mr. Salsich and my friends too.
Thanks for the helpful and exciting posts.

    Happy Summer!

    Yours Truly,
Amanda, is a former student in Mr. Salsichs class.

  12. Dear Mrs. Yollis and class of 2011,

School may be out but teachers and principals are always still hard at work. I am in Portugal about to present to a conference of adult learners about why it can be so important for students to blog. If all goes well, I am hoping to show them a little bit of your blog and Mrs. Levy's blog. I am having a little trouble with my connections but I am hopeful it will work. Maybe you will get some visitors to your blog to look around at all the things you accomplished last year. I am so proud of you and your teacher.

    Have a great summer!

    Mrs. Harding

  13. @ Mrs Yollis and students,

I hope you're all enjoying your holidays, we've got holidays at the moment too but they're not as long as yours.

I just wanted to say Happy 4th of July.

    Your pal,
    Jarr☀d (2KM / Jarrods blog)

  14. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I know it's kind of to late to say this, but happy summer!

It has been a while since I have been on your blog. It is so amazing!

My favorite part about the school year when I was in your class was when you taught us cursive. I don't know why, but that was just my favorite part.

What was your favorite part of this year?

    Your former student,

PS. During the beginning of summer I found a heart shaped rock that I'm going to give to you when school starts.
