We are excited to be a part of Edublog's Student Blogging Challenge!
This is week number one out of the ten week project.
(We are sorry, we are a little late publishing.)
(We are sorry, we are a little late publishing.)
There are two tasks for week number 1. First, make an avatar to represent your class. An avatar is an image used to represent yourself online. Mrs. Yollis' avatar is a photo of her standing next to a Google Map marker at the Googleplex in Mountain View, California. What does this avatar tell you about Mrs. Yollis?
Here is our class avatar. Mrs. Yollis took a photo and then she modified it using the Prisma app.
How do you like the avatar?
What does it say about us?
Second, make an About Me page or post telling a little bit about your state or country. Let's get started!
Here is a wonderful video about our state, California.
Enjoy!
Here is another resource with photos about California!
Tell us about yourself.
Where are you from?
What are the regions like there?
What is great about your state or country?
Are there any problems happening in your country like our drought?
Dear Mrs. Yollis and her class,
ReplyDeleteI am a former student of Mrs. Yollis' and I miss Panda and Beverly. I see that you guys got Barnaby Bones from Mr. Detamore's class, too.
Your new avatar is really nice! It shows that your class and other classes all around the world are in contact through blogging. Speaking of blogging, does anyone want their own blog? I have one, and it's really fun to blog on.
I love your old avatar, too! I remember when Mrs. Yollis showed my class that picture. Ever since then, I've been wanting to see this red statue.
How do you like school so far? Are you guys better at typing?
Your former student,
Chloe
Dear Mrs. Yollis and her class,
ReplyDeleteOur class really enjoys your blog! We are from the province of Ontario in Canada. We are a grade 3/4 class and have 19 students. Right now, we are experiencing Fall where all the leaves change colour and fall down, coating the ground with leaves. We have 4 seasons. How many do you have?
We have 10 provinces and 3 territories.
To answer your question about whether Canada has drought like California, the answer is yes! This happens mostly out West in British Columbia and recently in Fort McMurray.
We hope you have a great day and visit our blog soon. Please leave us a comment, too!
From,
Mrs. Sullivan's Gr.3/4 Class
