  2. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I think it's very nice of you to do such a wonderful post about Mr. Mannell's birthday!

I have learned so much infromation from Mr. Mannell that I can't even name them all! If I had to pick my favorite comment that he has left, it would have to be the one on the local environment of Sointula. In that comment I learned that a lot of interesting animals, such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, poisonous snakes and koalas live in New South Wales, Australia. I also really enjoyed reading about Old Tom, the orca.

    Happy Birthday Mr. Mannell!

    Sincerely,
    Leila♥

  10. @ Etai,

I really HOPE Mr. Mannel will leave more comments. Like I said, our blog and many other blogs wouldn't be the same with out him. He makes our blog extremely interesting. Whenever Mr. Mannell leaves a comment, I just halved to read the comment or I feel like I have missed the news! Even when I don't have time to wright a comment, I still read his posts. His posts interests me better than any video game, TV, book, and magazine.

Etai, you are so right that Mr. Mannell is a great writer. When I grow up, I will go on blogs and tell stories just like him. It would be an honor turning out like him.

    Sincerely,

    Mia♥

  17. Hello Mrs. Yollis and class,

This birthday greeting was a wonderful surprise and it came right on my birthday. :) It certainly cheered me up.

Sorry I hadn't replied earlier but I've been working on a double DVD set for a school play I filmed. It's kept me very busy over the last few days so I didn't actually see your greeting until a little after the date.

That school's twin DVD set is now complete. I had to make 150 copies for them. With the next booking not until Thursday for another school, I have a little time to catch up again.

Making DVDs and CDs for schools and community groups in my area is a hobby but can sometimes take up most of the day. As you know, blogging and commenting on blogs is another hobby of mine so I am getting busy with them again.

:) Thank you for making my birthday extra special.

  18. Hello Mrs Yollis and class,

Now here's an unusual twist to your lovely birthday greeting. :)

A teacher in Australia I had taught with in the 90s saw your post and looked me up. I had shown her how to access and use the internet many years back.

Your blog has reintroduced two Australian teachers. Now that's pretty amazing. :)
