  4. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I really like using the new mobi view. I like how it can draw shapes. I also like how you can change the color of the writing. The third thing I like about it is that you can play connect the dots with it. And finally, I love that you can change the writing to REALLY BIG.

    Sincerely,

  5. Hello Mrs. Yollis and students,

WE are visiting your blog because Miss B would like to know if it is okay if she shows us your Tips on Commenting Video?

She says it will help us a lot, but we have been talking about creative commons and making sure we have the right to view or use an image for example. So we are writing to ask permission.

When we got to your blog we were honored to see that you had won an award. Congratulations! I'm sure your students are very proud!

We are going to be getting our own blog when our netbooks arrive in October and will come back to visit!

Congratulations Mrs Yollis,I am so happy for you!

I would love to have been there with you when you recieved your special award.

Mrs Yollis they gave you and your students some wonderful prizes.

I think the interactive tablet looks a lot like the IWB (Interactive Whiteboard) which we have at Leopold only our IWB's are much bigger.

At Leopold we have lots of IWB's they are Whiteboards that we write on and learn off as well.

  21. Wow! I love how you're all working with that interactive tablet. What a fantastic way to use technology in the classroom! What else do you do on it? We are very interested! We are a blogging class from Australia, 1st grade, and we love to use technology too. We just found your blog, and we'll be checking back again soon! Everything looks GREAT, and congratulations on the award, Mrs. Yollis!

  23. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

First of all, congratulations on the Teacher of the Year award! That is a wonderful accomplishment, although I am not very surprised of your achievement, who wouldn't think that you're the Teacher of the Year?

Secondly, all I can say is that that sure is a nice gift! The Mobi View (is that how you spell it?) is very lovely. I wish Mrs. Krauss had that! What do you regularly use it for? How do you even use it? Does it have a special button where you can send your colorful messages? is it like the Word document?

    How are Beverly and Panda?

Hannah and Leila gave my brother Stefan the same giant bear that you have for his birthday. The bear doesn't have the most creative name, but Stefan calls him Brownie and sometimes Blacky. He switches the name every few days and it is difficult to keep track of.

I apologize that my family missed the award ceremony. We head some activities planned between the same time as the ceremony. I hope that I made up for it by going last year, but you probably will get it next year and if you do, we will be sure to not plan anything that day ahead of time.
