Our classroom received a breathtaking postcard from Panania, Australia. We think it is a community in Sydney.
A fact about Australia is that Britain (United Kingdom), established Sydney as a prison colony during in the 1780s. In the postcard the water looks very refreshing, clear, and beautiful! We both would absolutely love to swim in that water! In the background there are magnificent trees, green grass, blue sky. We would like to thank 6G for this wonderful postcard!
Has anyone been to Australia?
Particularly to Sydney?
What is the population of Sydney?
Dear Mrs. Yollis and class,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you received the post card from Australia. I have not been to Australia. I have a couple of friends in Sydney and hope we could visit Australia someday.
I never knew Panania, New South Wales before I read this post. I did some research about the city. Panania is a suburb of local government area City of Bankstown. It is located 23 kilometres inner south-west of the Sydney central business district in the state of New South Wales, Australia, and is a part of the South-western Sydney region.

Dear Mrs Yollis and students,
ReplyDeleteYour postcard project is so wonderful and here is another reason why.
I loved your postcard which you received from Panania in Sydney.
I have been to Sydney way back in 2003 and while I was there I went to the Sydney Opera House. This is a huge strange shaped building were if you ever visit Sydney this is a must see.
Also the Sydney Habour Bridge which I did visit but was not so brave to climb to the top.
This bridge is amazing as it carries rail, vechicles, bicycles and as well as pedestrains. I am pretty sure the Sydney Habour Bridge is in the guinness book of world records for been the world's widest longest/spam bridge.
From your blogging pal,
AA.
Dear Aaron’s mom,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for leaving a 3-point quality comment. There are 3 reasons that it is a 3-point comment.
Here they are:
#1. The first reason is you started with a connection. You said that you have a couple of friends in Sydney, Australia. That is a great connection!
#2. The second reason is you looked up some factual information. It says that Panania is a suburb of a local government area in the city of Bankstown. You also said it is located 23 kilometers inner south-west of the Sydney central business district in the state of New South Wales, Australia, and is a part of the South-western Sydney region.
#3. The third reason is that you spelled every word correctly, and you made every thing have proper grammar.
Clearly, you are a terrific commenter.
Warmly,
Grace
