I am passionate about educational blogging.  Below is a video I created with my second and third grade students. We hope that our video inspires and motivates other teachers to consider blogging with their classes. There are so many wonderful benefits!

Enjoy!

If you are new to blogging, here is an informative video made by my former students. They offer FIVE great tips for writing quality comments.

  1. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

Great video! I have feeling this one will be a keeper, and you will showing it for many more years to come. The second and third grade students did a fantastic job in adding important points to the video. and speaking with emotion. Blogging has really improved Miriam's and Sarah's writing. I love going back to their first posts and seeing much they have progressed over the past few years. It takes what can be a challenging subject and makes it enjoyable. The students learn without even knowing it.

    Keep up the great work.

    Happy blogging,
    Victoria

    1. @ Victoria,

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment!

As a parent, you have been a big supporter of our blog, and I really appreciate it! I agree whole-heartedly that blogging has had a positive impact on the girls' writing. Because of the archive, we can see the progress made.

I also love how much you support other bloggers throughout the world! The comments you leave go a long way toward building the confidence of our young bloggers...and older bloggers too! :-)

      Happy blogging to you!

      Your friend,
      Mrs. Y♥llis

  3. Hi Mrs. Yollis and class,

We have just started a class blog this year. Can you give us some tips on how to connect with people in other countries. We live in Asheville, North Carolina and would love to make some global connections.

    Thanks for your help,
    Mrs. Burton and class

  4. Dear Mrs Yollis,

It is wonderful to visit and write on your awesome blog once again. Even thou I have visited as often as I would have liked I still made it a point to read what you are all learning about.

The video which your class has made is wonderful and it was wonderful to see and hear just how passionate your students are about blogging.

I find that the wonderful educational benefit about blogging is learning how to write and write back to a comment correctly. I have enjoyed following a couple of your former students blogs. They both have grown into confident bloggers. For they both have grown into wonderful teachers with the way they both write up each post.

You and your students along with Mrs Morris truly are a class act and inspiring on so many levels. :)

I echo Victoria's words too. You are also so right what a great example Victoria is as a parent and a wonderful supporter of other bloggers around the globe.
    I thank you Victoria too.

    Happy blogging.

    Sincerely,
    AA
