Video Tutorials: What Are Quadrilaterals?

In our polygon unit, we are learning about four-sided figures called

QUADRILATERALS!

Many  people were confused about why some shapes have more than one name.  Here are some tutorials to help you learn about quadrilaterals.

  1. Dear Mrs. Yollis and old students,

I liked how you introduced the quadrilaterals like: square, rhombus, rectangle, rhombus, and parallelogram.

My favorite quadrilateral is the square because it is called five different things. The five names are: square, rhombus, rectangle, quadrilateral, and parallelogram. I also liked the Polygon Movie. I liked how Circle was left out so you can teach us that circle is not a polygon. At the end she was accepted into another group of shapes.

    Sincerely,
    Aidan

  3. Dear Mrs.Yollis and Class,

One of the things I learned was that a parallelogram with four equal sides is a rhombus. I thought your videos where very creative and interesting too.

    Sincerly,

  5. Hello Mrs Yollis and class,

Your instructional videos are amazing. I've always found one of the best ways to learn is to teach. We have to think carefully what we say so we may pass on the correct information. Well done, everyone. :)
