Tutorials: Identifying Quadrilaterals!

In our polygon unit we are learning about four-sided figures called

QUADRILATERALS!

Many people were confused about why some shapes have more than one name. Here are some tutorials to help you learn about quadrilaterals.

Have you used our quadrilateral tutorials?

Which tutorial helped the most?

  1. I think all the videos are fantastic! They are clear and very well presented. My favorite part was using straws (I think they were straws..?) to outline the parallel lines. Very clever! I'm going to use your videos for our classtime tomorrow. Thank you very much for taking the time to put this together, and for doing it so well!

  2. Dear Mrs Yollis and your wonderful students,

Thank you for another wonderful post identifying quadrilaterals.

BB, is studing all these shapes at this very moment with her dad and I have to say I cannot wait for her to arrive home from school to get her to watch your video.
Your video is great and explains it so well.

You are all super shapes in my eyes.

  5. Dear math masters,

What a great tutorial! I love the way that you put together different videos so we could learn about different types of quadrilaterals in each one!

We just talked reviewed different types of polygons in class today. I'm going to share this with my class tomorrow to show them what wonderful work you do and to help review even more!

  8. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

In fifth grade, accelerated math, we are learning about geometry as well! What is your favorite polygon? My favorite polygon is a nonagon. (a figure with nine sides) I learned a new one today! It is called a dodecagon. It has twelve sides.
