Fun Friday!

Many students in Mrs. Yollis' class earned free-time on Fun Friday.

A popular center is always creating with clay.

Behold! Future sculptors!

Nobody could believe how fair one sculpture looked!
Wow!

One person opted for creatively writing his name:

Others played handball outside!

What do you like best about Fun Friday?

  1. Dear Mrs. Yolli's Class,

    Wow! Fun Friday looks amazing!
I love all of your beautiful sculptures and creative lettering! What a treat to play hand-ball during the day, that was always one of my favorite games as a child. I can't wait to see and hear about next Friday's fun activities!

Have fun at school and keep up the good work!

  4. @Mrs. Levy,

Thanks for visiting our blog and leaving a comment! You asked about the clay. It is regular modeling clay that I bought at the supply store. My students love to sculpt!

I'm glad you got your links going! Speaking of links...we added you to our blog roll! Maybe we can do a project together this year!

Also, I followed one of your links and read about the shark bite! Oh my Mrs. Levy!

    Thanks for visiting!

  7. Dear Mrs Yollis,

Thank you for your comment on our blog. I agree that Riley has great writing career ahead of him and I love the way he takes the time to follow up on people's comments!

Well, we're back at school tomorrow and we only have 11 weeks until the end of the school year! It is going very fast. The holidays were great!

I'm interested in your fun Friday because we have free time after lunch on Fridays too and it is always a lot of fun. Some popular activities are the computers, IWB, lego, drawing, board games and "playing school"! Students who read their reader at home at least 4 times a week get free time. The all the students in your class get to participate in Fun Friday?

As your weather starts to cool down, ours starts to warm up and we are happy about that! Daylight savings started today where we all put our clocks forward one hour to enjoy extra sunlight in the evening. Do you have daylight savings in California?

    Enjoy your week!

  9. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

Our favorite sculpture was Aaliyah's because she made a fair island with a whale and a swan.

Sydney played with the magnets and Kendall sculpted people with the clay. What was your favorite sculpture, Mrs. Yollis?

    Your students,
    Sydney and Kendall

  11. Dear Mrs. Yollis' class,
That sculpture is outstanding! I don't think I can ever make something that good. Even though I am in fourth grade, I still remember Fun Friday and my favorite part was sculpting with clay.
    Your friend,
    Jonah
