Chaparral Spirit Song!

(Sung to the tune of Take Me Out to the Ballgame)

Take me out to the schoolyard,
Take me back to my class,
I've got my paper and pencils too,
I have got some learning to do
At Chaparral Elementary,
It's the place for me,
To think, learn, and be with my pals,
Live is good at Chaparral!

Spirit song words by Trent and Mrs. Adler

How do you like the new school song?

  6. @Kendall,

Thanks for the compliment about our singing! We missed you! We all hope you feel better soon! Did you sing along from home?

Everyone did show terrific school spirit. Mrs. Adler was a great *accompanist*! (How is that for an exact noun? A person who provides musical accompaniment is called an accompanist.)

    Get well soon!

  7. Dear Trent & Mrs. Yollis' Class,

The whole class sounded terrific singing the new school song. However, I have to say that I was so proud of Trent at Wednesday's school assembly. To stand in front of all of your school mates, teachers and parents and sing - now THAT was brave. You did a fantastic job and you should be very proud of yourself.

I think it is great that Chaparral now has a school song.

    Keep singing,
    Barbara

  8. Dear Mrs.Yollis,

I love our new Chaparral song. I wish we had Trent's mom come and do it every day at noon. Also I am going to make a post about on my blog.

    Your student,

  9. Dear Trent,

Congratulations on winning the Chaparral song contest. I just listened to it and it is great. All of you did a great job singing it. Kate told me that your mom brought a 6-string guitar because the 12-string guitar was missing a string. I think it is great that Chaparral now has a school song- thanks to you!
    All the best,

    Mrs. Jepson

  10. Dear Mrs. Yollis' Class,

I am very impressed by Trent's song and the outstanding performance by everyone. I especially like the way that all the kids put their arms around each other when they sang, "...and be with my pals".

Our family, like Trent's, are big baseball fans so this song was extra special!

Thanks for sharing this fun performance!

    Sincerely,
    Mike
