Our Global Friends!

Yesterday Mrs. Yollis' Class made new friends with some young classroom bloggers in the southern hemisphere!

We met the interesting students from Australia when Mrs. Yollis discovered their blog. Click here to view the fabulous 2KM blog and be sure to leave a comment. They have a fun sing-a-long song called the Skip Count Song! Give it a listen!

2KM informed us about another classroom blog in Texas called C-O Connections Blog. We are going to investigate and comment on their blog as well!

It has been fun reading about what other students from different places are learning.

We had a wonderful time exploring all the visitor dots that were visible on 2KM's ClustrMap!

We look forward to our global friendship!

  3. Hi Mrs.Yollis & class,

My name is Tyerell and I came third in the Cross Country today. My Family is coming to the U.S.A. in June. We are going to Disneyland. First we have to go to Maryland because that is where my Dad comes from. What is the best thing to do or see at Disneyland?
    Thanks Tyerell

  4. Hi everyone,

I love that you have made friends with some students in Australia. I used to live there many years ago, so I was excited to visit their 2KM blog and leave a comment for them.

There are always great things to learn from people around the world!

  5. Hi everyone,
I am so excited! I got a new piece of technology (like 2km got an ipod touch). It is so new when I heard my grandpaw got it for me I had no clue what he was talking about! It is called a Nintendo DSi. It basically is a new version of the Nintendo DS. I was amazed when I saw that it could go on the Internet. It also has two cameras on it so you can take a picture of someone in front of you and another one so you can take a picture of yourself. You can also record your voice on it too and then mix up your voice!

Love Bethany from her new DSI :O

  6. Dear Bethany and her DSI,

I read your post and it sounds like you sent your comment from your DSI. Is that correct?

Do you play games on it?
How do you use the two cameras?

    Sounds like fun!
    Mrs. Yollis

  8. Dear Class,

I went home today and noticed that what we were talking about in class is true. We were talking about older and younger siblings. For example when my mom was making corn I wanted to help peel. My brother heard me talking and asked too.

    Your FRIENDLY Commenter,
    Taylor S.:D :-) :D :-) :D :-) :D
    P.S. Look at this pattern!

  9. Dear Tyerell,

I'm Taylor S. from Mrs. Yollis' class. I've been to Disneyland before and there are such cool roller coasters there, but my favorite one is Space Mountain because it is very dark fast.
