It's Official - Our Blog's a Winner!

Congratulations to Mrs. Yollis' Bloggers!

A few weeks ago, I submitted our Winter Break Fun! post to the 2009 Digital Voice Awards.

The judges loved your
vivid vocabulary coupled with your interesting images.

I am proud of each one of you!

  1. Hello Mrs. Yollis' class,
I teach 3rd grade in Connecticut. I just found your awesome blog and I am not surprised that you won a Digital Voice Award.
I loved the images and vivid verbs you used in your writing about winter break. Maybe I will have my 3rd grade students do the same thing about their spring break.
I'll put a link to your blog on our website so my students can leave comments. Keep up the fantastic work!

Congratulations on your award. I know that the students are probably just as thrilled as you are and its a wonderful thing to receive this sort of recognition. I need to spend some time having a look at this blog as there's a considerable amount of work that's gone into it and some nice features. In New Zealand students are having their second week of their end of term break so the students can't come here for another week but I think that I will get some to come here because they will love this site!

  10. Dear Third Graders in Mrs. Yollis' class--This is Mrs. Iser, from the School Board. I enjoyed watching your awesome presentation last night and learning how you write and publish your blog. I am very pleased that you are learning these technology skills in your class. I am also impressed with your ability to stand up and speak in front of the School Board and the television camera. You were all very articulate and confident. Those are all important skills to have as you grow up. Thank you for sharing what you are learning at our School Board meeting last night.

  11. Hello students! I saw your presentation at the school board meeting and was mighty impressed with your work. My name is Stephanie Bertholdo and I am a reporter for The Acorn Newspapers. I would like to write an article about your class and blog for next week's paper. I already have a picture--I took one at the meeting. If you'd like to send me additional comments through this blog or to my email address you are welcome to do so. Here's my email address: sberth@sbcglobal.net. Be sure to state your name--first name only will be just fine. Feel free to comment on anything at all about what you've learned by using a blog, people you've met all over the world, funny stories related to the blog--anything at all. Thanks so much, and congratulations on winning the digital voice award! Best, Stephanie Bertholdo/Acorn Newspapers
