Comments are a great way to learn from one another, but there is nothing like seeing someone's face and hearing their voice to complete the picture.

I know Mr. Mannell would love to connect with your class. He is a wealth of information, as you well know, and is always happy to help.

I'd love for our classes to be able to connect! Too bad our time zones don't line up very well. What about a Meet Mrs. Monaghan session? :-)

You blogging buddy,
Mrs. Y♥llis
Mrs. Yollishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08553708205781596148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2633466533683944100.post-16689507673074483652013-06-02T08:43:19.568-07:002013-06-02T08:43:19.568-07:00@ Mr. Mannell,
Thanks so much for the fabulous Go...@ Mr. Mannell,

Thanks so much for the fabulous Google HangOut! The class and I loved spending time with you, learning about the world, and using new technology like Google HangOuts.

I loved how you set up for the call with the two national flags. It was especially fun to see what it looked like from out your window. It is so hard to comprehend time zones, but seeing that it was morning there really brought it home.

Thanks for all you do for our class and for your blogging buddies all over the world. We are always happy to see comments from Mr Mannell and particularly benefited from his contributions to Our World, Our Numbers and his interest there. Thank you Mr Mannell, and thank you Mrs Yollis for recognising his valuable contribution to the educational blogging community in this way.
Mrs Monaghan
A Room with a View, UKMrs Monaghanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00580874869403316436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2633466533683944100.post-76129586536551926742013-06-01T04:44:30.095-07:002013-06-01T04:44:30.095-07:00Dear Mrs. Yollis and class,

I usually hide behind my screen and send out words and pictures. :)

I enjoyed our HangOut! session. It's fun to share in this way but it made me think about the background. I may have to find more flags if other countries want to Skype or HangOut!.

I wonder, if I had a session with a school in Australia, would I have to hand our state flags? This could be the start of a big selection. :)

Ross Mannell
Teacher (retired), N.S.W., Australia
rmannellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10325881715643049499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2633466533683944100.post-24273453165377488552013-05-30T13:34:46.523-07:002013-05-30T13:34:46.523-07:00It is so wonderful to see Mrs Yollis' class bu...It is so wonderful to see Mrs Yollis' class building such strong global connections.
