This week, Mrs. Yollis' class will be kicking off a new topic over on the Our World, Our Numbers global project. The new topic will be

National Landmarks!

Here are two important American landmarks we'd like to share, the St. Louis Gateway Arch and Mt. Rushmore, in South Dakota.

Enjoy!

  1. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

We learned a lot from your videos.

We think your presentations are wonderful. Eden thinks that everybody had lots of enthusiasm.

Savannah thinks that everybody was excited for the show.

How long did it take to record?

    Warmly,
    Savannah and Eden

  2. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

Wow! even though I am in fourth grade the third and second graders taught me some facts. I learned that one face on Mt. Rushmore was sixty feet or as long as a six story high. Gorge Washingtons noise is 21 feet long.

    Sammy now known as Sam

  3. The Gateway Arch looks taller than it is wide, but did you know that The Arch's width is actually the same as its height?

  4. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

WOW, what and amazing adventure learning about Mount Rushmore and the Gateway Arch!

Buck, did you like going up the Gateway Arch? If so, tell me about it.

Mr. Jefferson, first of all, thank you for doubling the size of the United States. Did you enjoy helping France?

Barnaby, thanks for the facts about the Gateway Arch.

Now I will ask questions to the people who did the Mount Rushmore video.

Speaker 1, did you adore talking about Mount Rushmore?

Speaker 2, did you adore talking about Mount Rushmore?

Mrs. Yollis, did you enjoy the videos?

  5. Dear Mrs. Yollis,

I learned that each head is as big as 60 feet and Washington' s nose is 21 feet long. That is amazing! Can anyone tell me how long Abraham
    Lincoln's nose is?

    Sincerely,
    Bennett
